KDE 4.0 Beta release
Friday, August 3rd, 2007Come and get it, the first Beta of KDE 4.0 is ready for your enjoyment, download it
here. The KDE team has really put a lot of work into this release, with GNOME being
a pretty darn and functional desktop KDE has had their work cut out for them.
I used to be an avid fan of KDE but GNOME enticed me to much with its sleek look which
KDE seem to have injected into version 4.
Konsole, KDE`s terminal app has a new feature, it allows you to now look at your history
which is great for the lazy admin, or if you are showing somone the ropes, below is a screen shot.
I plan to install it on a Vmware instance of Ubuntu so I can get the full experience:)
It goes without saying that it wouldnt be a very good option to use this in a production enviroment, but you already knew that:).
