Catching up..
Oh dear, I havent really wrote for a while now, in R.L. things are rather hectic… but still, with laptop on lap, dog by side sleeping I decided to give a snoopsis on whats going down..
I <3 OSX
I managed to install OSX upon my Dell M90, ofcourse I didnt format my Vista partition, just used gparted to rezise a nice 20gig partition, ofcourse I wouldnt recommending installing OSX since its not exactly legal. Anyway I used the Kalyway 10.5.2 release of OSX, a special version of OSX with support for alot of PC hardware.
In the past I hahve fiddled quickly with OSX but nothing serious, yet the more I used it the more I just fell in love with it, Linux with a fast and friendly desktop, what more do you really need? Well nothing:) with the help of Vmaare Fusion you can run your windows apps in tandem with your OSX apps as though they are one nice
intergrated OS.
Its not all roses though, since I am using a “hacked” version of OSX I didnt get sound to work via the headphones, apparently my chipset (Sigmatel 9221) is on the problem list, but everything else worked like a charm, due to the legalities though and the possible questions I would get from clients looking at my laptop I since removed it.. I filled that void then with OpenSuse 11, just to see how thast distro is comming along… no OSX, but still nice and polished, but this is not about Suse..
The 2 weeks I ran OSX exclusively has made me realise that OSX is a pure gem in my eyes and even though Apple sells overpriced hardware to run it upon its just maybe what I have been looking for all these years…. Anyone want to buy a Dell M90 ?:)
Kitties!
Everyone loves the Kittah, my wife volunteers at our local animal shelter here in town, its kitty seasion and she is fostering kittens to prepare them for kitty loving
